AJ Hallatt

Director

AJ Hallatt is a Film Major completing her final year at UNC Wilmington. Her focus lies in festival work. She is the Assistant Director of the Visions Film Festival and Conference - a student run festival that showcases the work of ambitious undergraduate filmmakers and scholars. As the Assistant Director of Visions she oversees the development, fundraising, and awards departments. AJ is also a cofounder of the Dirt Poor Filmmakers Festival, a unique bi-monthly screening party. Some of AJ's primary filmic inspirations include the works of daring visionaries such as Vincent Gallo, Marianna Palka, and Naomi Uman. However, her tastes vary greatly and on a lazy Sunday afternoon she is just as likely to be found watching a kung-fu movie as a romantic comedy.
